Give the people an easy, open and safe place to share their ideas and they will. Bridging the gaps between different talents is no longer limited to big business. All we need is a medium containing easy to use tools for everyone to dissolve boundaries between people allowing the rest to fall in place. Instructables.com has done a great job of making this happen.

Being a winner of a previous Instructables.com contest, I have been asked to be a judge in all the other contests since. The judging criteria is relaxed but knowing how hard it can be to document a project well makes for difficult decisions. This is the criteria I look for when judging. It's not quick but the efforts of the contest entries deserve the time it takes. Getting an excuse to browse the site and look at every project is an added bonus for me.
